Your passion for reading and literature is contagious

As this second semester of British Lit. comes to an end, it is hard to fathom my time in high school and, by extension, English class with you coming to an end. Albert Einstein once said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” Through the last three years that I have had you as my teacher, I can say, without doubt, that you achieved this. Your passion for reading and literature is contagious for your students and has given me a similar love. Very few classes have I enjoyed as much as your English classes. From Socratic “smackdowns” to character death therapy sessions, you have made my high school English career a favorable and memorable one. Even when our books got depressing, class was always enjoyable and full of great discussion. Class discussion and activities made each and every book more enjoyable.
