Creative writing is a wonderful outlet for self-exploration and self-expression and is an important skill for entertaining, informing, and persuading others. Students in Creative Writing for Middle School will learn about the creative process and, through prompts and exercises, will produce a variety of creative projects, including descriptive writing, poetry, drama, and fiction. Students will share their work in an online portfolio and will give each other thoughtful feedback and encouragement. Students will also have the opportunity to enter their work in competitions and submit their work for publication.
